With the introduction of “The Early Years Learning Framework” within the Child Care industry there has also been a change in titles, with a “Carer” now being called “Educator.” The Carer has always provided care which includes education.

Children are nurtured and cared for in a natural learning environment in Family Day Care, learning through play and exploration. The child’s wellbeing is the priority, while respecting and working in partnership with parents to optimise the development of their child.

Louera Family Day Care Scheme co-ordinates suitably qualified, registered and dedicated individuals as Educators, who are well resourced, supported and monitored by Louera Family Day Care Scheme’s Co-ordination Unit.

The Educator who deals with you and cares for your child/ren is self-employed and is the person responsible for the ongoing success of their Family Home based child care business.

At Louera, we believe our carefully selected Educators have the ability to develop and strengthen the relationship between children, families and communities, through thoughtful programming and planning.
